What you will do

You will build distributed systems with Scala in one of our key business domains passenger or pooling. These domains are responsible for various aspects in our shuttle service, from selecting the best vehicle for a passenger to handling payments and trip cancellations. When building these distributed systems, you will ensure that the delivered software meets the highest engineering quality in terms of testability, performance and technical architecture suitable for real-time use. You will be part of a cross-functional team comprising software engineers, data engineers, mobile developers, QA specialists, AWS experts, and product owners.

You will be successful in this position if you

Gained first experience in developing software with Scala or another functional programming language

Can demonstrate your passion for Scala through community work, for example contributing to OSS projects, attending conferences, meetups or frequently reading Scala blog posts

Have an interest in Kubernetes, and AWS managed services

Live and breathe DevOps and believe in automated testing, infrastructure as code, continuous deployment, monitoring, and open communication

Communicate fluently in English
